We have been exploring life together for over a decade now. We are married photographers, parents to an array of cats, bunnies and chickens. Adventures in our Land Rover and travel are incredibly important to us, as is living our life in the truest way we can. Meeting new people, good red wine and curling up on the couch to watch a documentary are things we love doing. We are rock music listeners, roller derby players, camping lovers and story tellers. With a Fine Art degree and Masters degree between us, beautiful, sensitive and intelligent art is what gets us excited. We love couples whose marriage is more important than their wedding, couples who can laugh at themselves and each other and couples who want to make their weddings about them, even if this means not subscribing to traditional norms.

This is our digital diary of our love and adventures. On one of our first dates at the ripe old age of 20 and 23 respectively we discovered we both had a deep love for making images and both had a background in developing our own photos in a dark room. Fast forward ten odd years and not only have we realised that we are two halves of the same crazy whole that can’t live without each other, but that our love of documenting life has found its home in shooting weddings and world adventuring.
When we got married, we hated the idea of posed traditional pictures that look the same as everyone else’s wedding pics because our wedding and marriage is unique, as are the weddings of the couples we shoot. So our attitude to our photography is to embrace each couple as they are and create pictures that show them off as a couple and as individuals. Every wedding we are a part of is a special glimpse into the lives of two unique people who love each other and their often crazy and amazing friends and family. That’s why our approach to every wedding is special and done around the people in it. We want you to be relaxed on your day and feel like we are not there as an intrusion, but rather as a part of your memory making. We would rather be seen as old friends documenting your day unfolding over serious professionals directing your day and being “in charge”. We believe that your wedding is not just about the pictures taken on the day, but the process of the day, the emotions felt by everyone and trying to reflect that in the pictures. It is easy to have pretty pictures but it’s a skill to capture the feeling and emotion and atmosphere of the wedding experience. We want it so that when you look at your pictures in 10, 20, 50 years’ time, you’re transported back to the sights, sounds and feelings of your special day and that is what we want captured on our own big day. So we are sure other people want that too.
We have given a couple our last half of our peanut butter sandwich which they have eaten as their “first meal” together on their couple shoot because they both forgot to eat as they were too excited to be marrying each other, we have made “alterations” on a wedding dress that malfunctioned using a steak knife, shared “that’s what she said” jokes with rowdy bridal parties and had conversations with excited moms in the same way we would with our own family. To us, this is what being involved in weddings is about; sharing the real, the raw emotion, the humour, the love and the magical energy that weddings ignite. Between the two of us, we have the ability to see and create an individual vision for each couple, which is unique to them and their style (we don’t apply our style to you, we adapt our style to the individual couple, that way, your pics wont look like every other wedding we’ve shot). We love weddings, unposed moments, adventures in our old Land Rover, our cats, good red wine and loud music; travelling and meeting new people. So if we sound like your kinda people. Get in touch! We would love to meet you!
